  The Michelin Guide's review
Sharing the distinction of being the most famous route in the French Alps with that of the Iseran Pass, and linking the Maurienne to the Briançonnais, this steep incline with views over the Maurienne leads from the bottom of the Arc Valley to its tributary the "hanging" Valloirette Valley. At the Galibier Pass, the all-round view has the Aiguilles d'Arves and Mont Thabor to the north, to the south the Briançonnais mountains and, most strikingly, the glaciers and snowy peaks of the Écrins massif.
