This 13C palazzo, built in Venetian-Byzantine style, was the birthplace of Alvise da Mosto (1432-88), who made his historic mark by reaching the Cape Verde islands. Note the first-floor window with its numerous bays dating from the 16C-18C, a time when the most beautiful hotel in Venice, the Leon Bianco, occupied the site.
