Silhouette, one of the inner islands 17km northwest of Mahé, emerges from the Indian Ocean like a tropical forest rising from the waters. The island's highest peak is Mont Dauban (740m), which boasts the only primary equatorial forest in the Seychelles, a paradise reserved only for hikers. Swimming and diving enthusiasts will enjoy the splendid coastline sheltered by a coral reef, especially around La Passe, the only village in the northeast of the island.
