The Michelin Guide's review
Housed in the Hôtel Pierre-de-Luxembourg, this municipal museum displays some exceptional works of art, including a 14C Virgin in polychrome ivory, carved from elephant tusk. Note also the 14C Virgin with two faces from the Nuremberg school, the 18C chasuble reputedly belonging to Innocent VI and the 17C Holy Sacrament veil decorated with pearls. Paintings on display include The Coronation of the Virgin (1454), a masterpiece of Gothic art by Enguerrand Quarton, as well as canvases by Nicolas Mignard.
