The New Palace or Neue Burg, built between 1881 and 1913 in Italian Renaissance style, forms a fine long semi-circle. Beneath its colonnade, the statues between the large bay windows portray famous personalities from Austria's history. Its rooms showcase the Ephesus Museum, the House of History, a rich collection of weaponry and armour, and a collection of ancient musical instruments.
