The Michelin Guide's review
Founded in the 18C by Emperor Karl VI at the height of the Baroque period, the Austrian National Library contains several million books. Its pride and joy is of course the Prunksaal - the state hall, with its huge dome bearing a fresco by Daniel Gran depicting the apotheosis of Karl VI.
