At nos 38 and 40 Wienzeile, note the fine façades of two Jugendstil buildings designed by Otto Wagner in the late 19C. The first is the Medallion House with its gilded stucco gleaming in the tiniest ray of sun. The Majolica House next to it is much plainer with its colourful ceramic rose design.
