The Michelin Guide's review
A reconstruction of the famous colonial tavern, the capacious building contains 18C gaming rooms, reception halls, and "above-stairs" guest chambers. In its heyday, the tavern stood at the pivot of the colonial capital's vivacious social life, welcoming such illustrious regulars as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Peyton Randolph.
