Classical and contemporary works happily rub shoulders in the spacious rooms of this museum, which boasts a remarkable collection of modern art. The oldest section of the building contains many works by French 19C and 20C artists: Delacroix, Odilon Redon, Monet, Cézanne, Corot, Gauguin. Cubists Gris, Léger, Braque, but also Delaunay, Klee and Mondrian hang next to sculptures by Maillol, Giacometti and installations by Calder. Contemporary art is showed in a recent wing.
