Fresh off the success of their wildly popular Philadelphia restaurant, High Street on Market, Chef Eli Kulp opened up this lovely little spot, just steps south of MePa to well-deserved acclaim. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available, with a focus on grains, sandwiches and wickedly good homemade breads.
This airy and entertaining corner space is welcoming, with an open kitchen and a small side counter to view the action within. Find delicious refinement in the roasted, deeply caramelized carrots "à la Mendez" arranged artfully around a brick-red mole. Perfect ribbons of mafaldine are then tossed with smoked mussels and a sauce composed of celery, garlic and pickled jalapeños. Cool things down over a honey custard topped with shards of honeycomb candy.
