Description

Inspired by the word "husmanskost" meaning “everyday food" in Norwegian, this delightful restaurant from Chef/owner Ned Baldwin is the true definition of a neighborhood spot. Sporting a small, but sharply designed interior, it's replete with schoolhouse chairs and reclaimed bowling alley-wood tables.
This menu is all about simplicity and seasonality. Dinner may begin with smoked bluefish with seeded crackers or duck liver mousse with cranberry gastrique and toasted sourdough. Then, sea bass is poached in a seafood broth bobbing with clams, juicy tomatoes and crisp yu choi. Finally, the much-lauded fries live up to the hype with fluffy, crispy, and perfectly salted slivers of double-fried potato.
