It’s said that “Kyoto flavours are natural, but Osaka flavours are deep”. Masato Shimoda’s menu expresses the goodness in both. Crab cream croquettes stuffed in abalone shells combine the ingenuity of both cities, using the creative flair of Osaka as a base while bringing native flavours to the fore in true Kyoto style. Working in the kitchen alongside his father, Masato pours the skills and spirit he inherits into his dishes.
