This inviting coaching inn (from 1850) not far from Mulhouse occupies an imposing traditional Alsatian building in the centre of the village. In an elegant dining room, the chef serves seasonal cuisine with a contemporary bent, such as slow-cooked egg with peas and a creamy sauce made with their pods, or lamb cooked two ways, accompanied by chick peas in a French curry. Simpler bistro fare on weekday lunches.
