Description
The discreet, partially hidden entrance to Palazzo Venart opens into what is a rarity in Venice – a small but charming garden with beautiful furniture. A second garden overlooks the Grand Canal and offers tables where guests can enjoy a coffee or liqueur after their meal. Nestled between these two gardens, a magnificent hotel is home to the restaurant itself, where Michelin-starred chef Enrico Bartolini and the highly talented Donato Ascani, who is at the helm in the kitchen here, offer guests a fine dining experience. The tasting menus feature memorable dishes of extraordinary quality, such as the amazing selection of finger food presented at the beginning of the meal, inspired by traditional Venetian “cicchetti” (a type of tapas) and made from the best seasonal ingredients. Every course is prepared with care and passion and full of intense and harmonious flavours, resulting in cuisine which has made this restaurant a must not only for Venetians but also for visitors from far and wide.
