A thatched, honey-stone inn at the heart of an attractive village, with a pleasing mix of exposed wood, brick and slate, a pretty garden and chic, cosy bedrooms. The good value, seasonal menu offers generously proportioned dishes; the scotch egg is a favourite. Service is smiley and enthusiastic.
