First mentioned as a monastery in 1243 and later as a brewery (18C), the family-run Gräfinthaler Hof has now been a country inn with its own winter garden for four generations. The cuisine is based largely on regional produce including Bliesgau lamb, Ballweiler char and Erfweiler goats' cheese. The good value lunchtime menu served from Wednesday to Friday is particularly popular.
