Camarina
The Green Guide

Useful information

Description

Camarina was an Ancient Greek city founded by Syracuse. It was attacked many times and ultimately destroyed in 258 BC by the Romans. The site overlooking the sea is not without charm, even if the ruins are scant and somewhat neglected. Finds from excavations are exhibited at Camarina's Regional Archaeological Museum.
