From Jaffna, you reach the island of Punkudutivu, where the ferries leave. We also recommend the famous Nainativu Island, where a Buddhist temple rubs shoulders with a Hindu temple and where the pilgrims jostle after a short sea journey by raft together with the less well-known Delft Island. There, the only event disturbing the beautiful landscape is the occasional race of wild horses.
