Description
This group of unspoilt islands, locked in a constant battle with the waves against marine erosion, is part of the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden National Park, which was created in 1985. Protected by dikes and man-made banks, the islands fend off the North Sea with their fragile sandy shores. The pleasures of the beach and the sea air make the islands a popular destination.
