Similan Archipelago
The Green Guide

Useful information

Description

Extraordinarily transparent waters and a wealth of plant and wildlife mean that a swim or dive off the coast of the Similan archipelago will leave a lasting impression. This national maritime park, reckoned to be one of the world's top diving spots, has sadly suffered in the wake of the tsunami in 2004 and from rising sea temperatures in the 2010s. The easiest way to get here is to book a trip with a dive centre in Phuket, as there are no scuba diving schools on site.
