Southwest National Park
The Green Guide

Useful information

Description

In this park, the country's largest (more than 6 000km²), you won't find any tarmac roads or charming inns, but rather vast expanses of forest harbouring the few huon pines that are still present in Tasmania. You will also discover alpine meadows and incredible cliffs jutting out into the sea, for the most part only accessible by seaplane. It is thought that no human has ever even set foot in certain areas of the Southwest National Park. The perfect opportunity to feel like a real explorer.
