Search a tourist attraction

This lovely Angkorian temple is only a 1hr drive from the capital and, as such, attracts many locals on the weekends, come to picnic with the family or simply fish in the nearby Tonlé Bati lake. It is also a favourite with newly-weds for photo shoots. Built by the famous "builder-king" Jayavarman VII (12C), author of Bayon and Angkor Thom, it is characteristic of the king's tastes, with lovely carved lintels depicting Hindu and Buddhist scenes.
