Description

Located to the northwest of the island of Usedom and linked to Stralsund by a 2.5km-long bridge, Rügen is Germany's largest island and its flagship Baltic destination. To the west, the jagged coastline follows the irregular contours of small bays and inlets; to the east chalk cliffs and sandy beaches attract crowds of holidaymakers every summer.
