Description

To the north of the country, between the North Sea and the Wadden Sea, the islands of Wadden include five inhabited islands. Texel, the largest, Vlieland, Terschelling, Ameland and Schiermonnikoog. The scenery features sandy beaches, high dunes planted with dune grass, small picturesque villages, unspoiled landscapes, huge polders, isolated lighthouses and nature reserves, where countless birds come to nest. At its best in spring and autumn!
