Description

Founded in 1765 by Bishop Lucchesi Palli, this library contains more than 45,000 ancient books and manuscripts. The statue of the founder keeps watch over the reading room with its neatly aligned wooden shelves. Books on secular subjects are kept to the left of the statue, while religious texts are kept to the right.
