Description

The convent and its church date from the 13C. The façade has retained a Gothic portal and the single-nave interior features a beautiful Baroque decor and five high-reliefs by Giacomo Serpotta. The entrance to the chapter house with its pointed-arch portal and two gemeled windows are a perfect example of the Moorish-Norman style. A small museum inside the monastery is devoted to rural life.
