Useful information

Description

Perge is one of the most interesting archaeological sites along the southern coast. Although the town is not as romantic as Pinara, it has the advantage of providing an excellent idea of how a Roman city in Asia Minor would have looked. Strolling around the ruins, it is not difficult to imagine the daily life of the people who once lived here. A large city with many inhabitants, as shown by its numerous shops and public buildings, Perge is particularly striking for its sophisticated water infrastructure, such as canals, baths and numerous fountains, both for everyday and sacred use.
