Description

Occupying the 18C Château de Colombier, this museum displays collections of art from 16C to 20C. The highlights are The Tryptych of the Trinity by Jean Bellegambe (early 16C) and works by Van Loo and Bruegel the Elder. Visitors can also admire impressive archaeological collections from prehistory to the Gallo-Roman period, including one devoted to the nearby L'Ermitage oppidum and another to the old town of Ales ("Vieil Alais").
