Useful information

Description

Located in the old working-class district of Westerpark, this building (1921) built by Michel de Klerk is one of the best examples of the Amsterdam School's Expressionist style. Inside, visitors can explore its temporary exhibitions as well as an interesting retrospective centred on Michel de Klerk and the Amsterdam School. The guided tour takes in the original post office, the tower, the furnished show apartment (1930), and a replica of a 19C worker's dwelling.
