Useful information

Description

This house was built just before 1700. The furniture and artefacts inside give an impression of the life led by merchants in the Dutch "Golden Age". The garden retains the original lay-out created by the French architect Daniel Marot. The museum is home to a collection of ceramics, glass, gold and silverware, and paintings, all of which are on display in the kitchen, the blue room with its ceiling painted by Jacob de Wit, the richly decorated ballroom and the exhibition room.
