Description

This royal avenue lined with century-old plane trees crosses the former "Field of Mars", a heath where the locals came to watch major events. Tucked away on the left is the court of justice, a modern glazed structure built in 1978 by Novarina. The immense, elegant prefecture built after the Annexation, is a fine example of Louis XIII Revival. A viewing table commands a fine panorama over the lake, framed by majestic mountains.
