Formerly the property of Queen Ranavalona's Prime Minister of, Lake Alarobia is an important refuge for the birds of the Highlands, which dart around this green oasis right in the centre of the city. A privately owned park, Tsarasaotra is a Ramsar site supported by the WWF.
