The east coast of Mallorca is less dramatic than the Costa Rocosa, but boasts its own wonders: its caves. The Caves of Artà, Caves of Hams and Caves of Drach have been sculpted by erosion over millennia, and their craggy features are well highlighted by artificial lighting. This coastline has other surprises such as the Talayotic village of Ses Païses, which is a well-preserved archaeological site (14C BC-1C BC), and pleasant sheltered inlets.
