Description

This handsome Federal-style home reflects the full and rich life of its gregarious 48-year occupant, statesman William Henry Seward (1801-72). The house is remarkably well appointed with personal possessions spanning five generations. A wonderfully thorough tour includes several rooms of artifacts relating to the attempt on Seward's life and to the latter's role in the Alaska Purchase.
