Description

With a collection spanning several centuries (300 BC to the early 20C), this gem of a museum is best known for its Renaissance and medieval art, rare books and illuminated manuscripts. Created by the Walters, a family of railway tycoons, the museum displays Renaissance masterpieces by such greats as El Greco alongside jewellery from ancient civilisations. The museum has a highly reputed collection of Asian art displayed in a separate building, which is connected by an interior footbridge (The Link).
