Standing in the middle of lawns worthy of an English garden, the unique sandstone chedi of this 11C temple appears somewhat isolated on this large cruciform terrace surrounded by four pools. In fact, other buildings were supposed to have been built on the terrace, although for some reason the work never started. The extremely refined ornamentation of the prang is well worth a visit in its own right: in particular, note the finely worked lintels and pediments surmounting the entrance and the three false doors.
