Description

Plaça de Sant Jaume used to be the crossroads of the Roman town's two main thoroughfares, the cardo and decumanus. At the time the square was where the forum stood. It still has a part of this usage, as two buildings that symbolise the city's power are to be found here: the town hall and the Generalitat Palace.
