Description

At the end of the 18C, Manuel Amat, a nobleman from Barcelona and formerly Viceroy of Peru, returned to Barcelona a very rich man. To show off his wealth, he had a sumptuous palace built that was a mix of Baroque and Rococo styles. The outbuildings and patio have been converted into a Centre de la Imatge and are the venue for major temporary exhibitions.
