This fanciful reproduction of characteristic buildings from Spain's different regions was built by Miquel Utrillo and Xavier Noguès for the 1929 Universal Exhibition. At the centre is the Plaza Mayor. This showcase of Majorcan markets, Baroque Valencia facades, Galician houses and Castilian squares charts Spain's architectural history. The Fran Daurel foundation of contemporary art includes work by Picasso, Miró, Dalí and other Spanish artists active from the 1950s to the present day and concludes the visit.
