The best known of the commissions by Eusebi Güell to Antoni Gaudí (1900) was meant to be a residential area for well-off families, but was never completed. Purchased by the City of Barcelona in 1922, the estate was transformed into a public park; entry fee for the so-called monumental zone, where Gaudí's creations and house are to be seen.
