Cu Chi Tunnels
The Green Guide

Useful information

Description

Originally dug by the Viet Minh, the Cu Chi tunnels, 45km from Ho Chi Minh City, were extended considerably to combat American troops, who destroyed the network during the huge and bloody Tet Offensive on 31 January 1968, resulting in the annihilation of a system that was extremely sophisticated yet at the same time wretched in terms of the conditions experienced there by the Viet Cong. The Ben Duoc site, which is the main site, is an extremely accomplished reconstruction of the tunnels, providing an insight into the lives of these Vietnamese people of the shadows... Unique.
