Blessed with a rich ensemble of early American architecture, this historic section of Bennington, situated largely between the Old First Church and the Battle Monument, is a peaceful reminder of unhurried times. More than 80 primarily Georgian and Federal houses, the earliest dating from the 1760s, have been preserved here.
