Description
With its many fountains, streets such as Obergasse lined with arcaded houses and Burgundy buildings and facades with wrought iron coats of arms, the old town of Bienne is eminently picturesque. The district is arranged around the Ring, a charming square where public executions once took place. Here you will find the interesting Banneret Fountain (1546), a symbol of the militia and war.
