Useful information

Description

Built in 1958 with the architectural austerity that was typical of the period, the largest library in Colombia is also one of the most popular. It contains some two million works and schedules concerts and quality exhibitions. Planted on the forecourt of the library, an iron sculpture designed by Bernardo Salcedo and titled Bosque Cultural (1997) depicts four stylised pine trees.
