Description

Located on the first floor of the MAMbo, the Morandi museum houses the finest collection of works by Giorgio Morandi, a Bolognese painter and engraver (1890-1964) who was a modern master of still lifes. The artist uses a spectrum of colours such as ochre, blue, white, ivory, brown and grey in order to interpret an austere universe with an intense sobriety and one devoid of characters. Fans of his work can visit his former home (via Fondazza, 36) which is open to the public.
