Description

Bolsover is a fairy-tale castle perched on a hill. This extravagant monument was designed by architect Robert Smythson. The interior is rich in carved Jacobean fireplaces, panelling and painted ceilings, including the Elysium Room and Heaven Room, which offer a foretaste of the Baroque.
