Description

This folk museum occupies one of the last remaining period buildings (1870) in the former seamen's neighbourhood, once known as "La Beurière", which was almost completely destroyed during WWII. Exhibits include the living quarters of a seaman and his family around 1900, some 30m2 for around 15 people: Flemish furniture, a stove, religious objects, fishing tackle. Exhibition devoted to daily life and to the seamen's dialect and customs and photos depicting Boulogne in the early 20C.
