Description

This magnificent town museum is housed in the monastery founded in 753 (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and extended over the centuries to encompass the Lombard basilica of San Salvatore, the Romanesque church of Santa Maria in Solario (which are both part of the museum tour) and Santa Giulia church. The museum highlights the history of the monastery, archaeological materials, and local works of art from the prehistoric era to the 19C.
