Description

The SS Great Britain was launched in 1843 and was the first iron-built, propeller-driven Atlantic liner. Today, the ship is displayed in her original dry dock. The museum explains Brunel's innovations, the story of this great steamship and the history of naval construction in Bristol since the 18C.
