Built around 1150, this Cistercian abbey, made up of a 12C-13C church, cloisters, outhouses (late 12C-14C) and what remains of the conventual buildings, represents one of the best preserved and most complete collection of monastic buildings in France. Built in the lovely local white stone, it boasts enormous paving slabs and modern stained-glass windows by Jean-Pierre Raynaud, providing an outstanding setting for concerts and other cultural events.
